“VOICES OF WOODLANDS”
Part 2
By Kimberly
After school, in exactly 2 o’clock, Chiare went running through their classroom door trying to escape her brother. But Yoha knew what his sister would do so he started searching for her. Seeing that she was gone in her classroom, he darted to the school’s gate. He saw her nearing the bike rack so he started running fast. He tried to stop her but all in vain. So he took off in his bike and followed her. They raced until they reached a park.
Behind the park were the woodlands fresh and bountiful of trees and animals. Many would go camping and picnicking in these woodlands. Children would prefer playing in there than in the crowded streets.
The two siblings sat by a tree and talked the wonders and mysteries of the woodland.
“You can almost hear it talking. They say when you listened intently, you will hear it talking to you . . .” Chiare smiled, “I love it here! The breeze, the trees, the animals, the scene, the wonders it make. It is very mysterious in short.”
The two laughed and listened to the winds. The soft breeze rustled the leaves of different kinds of trees then it swept the leaves and let it fly worriless. The birds chirped and the squirrels gathered their acorns. The sun shone through the gaps the leaves to leaves make. The nearby lake makes a sound flowing swiftly like a soft silky cloth that shimmers in the sun.
“The life . . .” Suddenly, very mysteriously, they fell asleep.

Part 1
The sun has shone. The rays have been absorbed by the plants and in a home; a mother is busy preparing her duty by preparing the children’s breakfast.
“Children,” the mother shouted. “Breakfast is ready. Come down now. It is 7:17 in the morning.”
As she was laying the plates on the table, the mother and the father who are both in the kitchen could hear the stomping of feet. Two children came running down the stairs arguing.
“Slowpoke. Loser. What now?” Said a voice that sounds like a boy. “Never . . . will . . . I . . . lose . . . ‘til now!” said a girl.
The two are of the same age. They were both aged 11. In other words they both are twins.
A crash was heard from below the stairs and the poor mother knew what it was. She can almost recall the first day her son and daughter hurried down the stairs. She could almost hear her voice scared,
Before they enter the school gate, Yoha warned Chiare.
“For a hundred and twenty-ninth time,” he started. “Never go wandering alone after school.” He, then, proceed to the gate.
“For a hundred and twenty-ninth time,” she replied. “I hear nothing!”
“Chaire! Yoha!” almost everyday, as they get up.
